WESQMUL Careers Day

On 27/02/17 we had the pleasure in inviting the CEO of Work Ready Graduates to Queen Mary to deliver a workshop and talk on leadership, and were treated with free access to the online micro module for leadership. Leadership is a skill that is increasingly important in career progression, and we were able to hear of different styles and techniques we could employ to improve our leadership. In one of the activities, when choosing people we believed were good leaders, responses varied from Ellen DeGeneres, Michelle Obama and Jeremey Corbyn!

As well as this, there was an opportunity to hear from SUGRU, a company that produces innovative, mouldable glue used in a variety of applications, and our members were then able to put their questions to these industry leaders.

Our members left the careers afternoon with their questions answered and food for thought in terms of moving along in their careers. Overall, it was a very successful event and we look forward to bringing more events like this to you in the near future.
