Semester A Summary

We kicked this year off as a new society but have come a long way in terms of putting on events for our members. This year we began a series of talks from successful female lecturers, Dr Jelizaveta, Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Robotics, Biomedical Engineer Dr Nuria Gavara, and Mouna Chetahouna, who have al shared their inspiring journeys with us. As well as this, Work Ready Graduates have provided a free leadership micro-module, #leadership, which is a recognised, accredited CPD qualification.

Following the success of last semesters talks, we have planned a visit to Imperial for another talk and a tour of the new biomedical labs, as well as a collaborative event with MATSoc and EWB QMUL to host a talent show. We also plan to bring a few more socials your way.

Our main event to come is an employability event where professors and guests from industry (SUGRU, Work Ready Graduates) will deliver a series of talks.
